Experience

I graduated from the University of Michigan with my Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a minor in international English language and literature, security and norms, and Spanish. I am currently working on my Master in Public Policy degree at Rutgers University. While attending school, I am working with children that have health problems or learning disabilities that inhibit their academics. I tutor students in a variety of subjects, however I prefer writing, literature, and English. Test preparation is one of my favorite aspects of tutoring. I help students have fun while preparing for standardized tests such as the ISEE, the ECAA, the ACT, and the SAT. I help college-level students write and edit their essays. Summer tutoring sessions are held on a regular basis to ensure that students don't fall behind in their learning. While tutoring, I try to encourage each student to love learning. I believe education is necessary to one's quality of life. During each session, I demonstrate how concepts and ideas relate to the real world. In my daily life, I enjoy cooking and eating healthy meals, as well as coming up with my own. I love spending time with my nieces, playing competitive volleyball, and reading.
